Celebrating life’s simple pleasures without ever compromising on quality or its unique character has always been the guiding philosophy of Langlois Crémant de Loire.
A history
of excellence
It all began in Saumur in 1885, when Édouard Langlois and his wife Jeanne first began crafting their fine Loire Valley sparkling wines, a passion they pursued for the rest of their lives. Our small team of wine growers and makers continues to uphold this tradition of excellence and expertise more than a century later.
Cultivating the Loire Valley’s unique character
The rich and varied Langlois vineyard produces an astonishingly light, elegant and complex range of Loire Valley wines. Benefiting from its mild climate, the Maison is ever mindful of the need to cultivate its diverse terroirs and precious calcareous subsoil in harmony with nature.
The Chenin Blanc signature
The quintessential grape variety of Langlois Crémant de Loire wines, Chenin Blanc is the key to the Maison’s distinctive aromatic signature. Revealing its delicately fruity character in the Maison’s blends, it also amply expresses the unique character of its parcels where it ripens to perfection.
Going beyond the norm
From vine to cellar, Langlois has been perfecting the art of winemaking for over 130 years. Convinced that precision is paramount, the Maison adheres to the specifications of the Appellation d’Origine Protégée Crémant de Loire, while continuing to push the boundaries and forge its own path.
